An amusing film about a young woman who from a young age loves weddings, so becomes a wedding planner of sorts. It’s your typical tale of  ‘Always A Bridesmaid’. Over the years she has collected 27 dresses all of which she has worn, but longs to wear one of her own. She is madly in love with her boss unbeknown to him, and dreams of someday wearing that special dress for him, but her model sister turns up and puts the dampeners on it and ends up dating the boss, which eventually leads to them getting engaged. During one of the wedding planners wedding bashes she gets knocked out by crazed women trying to catch the brides bouquet where a handsome young man comes to her aid, a reporter who writes regular wedding articles for the paper (her favorite). Eventually they become friends until her sister invites him to write an article for her wedding, but instead of writing about the bride he writes about her and her 27 dresses.

Definitely a chick flick, so send them guys out for a beer or upstairs to watch footy, it has some amusing moments with some dodgy dresses, a sweet little love story worth watching, no need for hankies.

I watched this film over the weekend.Those of you have have not yet seen this film it’s worth viewing.

The story is set about a dying Mayan civilization which sees a young warrior Jaguar Paw being captured along with other tribes,and taken to a temple where beliefs of human sacrifice is paramount. After he manages to escape his captors he is then chased through the forest where he hunts, to return to where he left his pregnant wife and child in the safety of deep hole, he has to return before it is too late.

A great film that has action from the offset, it is set with subtitles which isn’t distracting,some it has some violent scenes, all told it is a good story of love strength and determination, definitely worth watching if you haven’t seen it already

Emotionally and weathered detective Eddie breaks in his new partner Helen (Melissa George, some of you may remember from the Aussie soap Home & Away playing Angel) on a grisly series of murders where the victims come in twos, one is savagely electrocuted with the word Waz carved into their flesh and the other,usually a loved one, horrendously tortured to death. Investigation into the mysterious signature reveals it to be the formula that there is no altruism or genuine selflessness in nature, and unearths the gruesome motivation of the slayings, someone is putting people to the ultimate test of love, wherein they must endure stark physical torture that can only be ended by pulling a switch to electrocute the one closest to their hearts. Unbeknown to Helen, the detective knows the killer and has at some point dealt with them, that is why he is involved and he’s paying for his past mistakes.

Not a bad movie, a clever film but it was a bit slow at times. I was anticipating that it was going to have me on the edge of my seat like Seven did(as thats what they claimed it was like) but was slightly disappointed. A very dark and gritty film which is not for the faint hearted as some of the torture scenes make you wince and are very brutal, so steer clear if your not up for the brutality of it. There was a lot of dark scenes in the movie but all in all is worth watching.

Just as his career is soaring, Joe must learn to juggle his old lifestyle of parties, practices and dates with supermodels while tackling the new challenges of ballet, bedtime stories and baby dolls. Equally perplexed is his hardedged agent, Stella, who is also without a parental bone in her body. As the championship grows nearer, Joe is about to realize that the game that truly matters has nothing to do with money, endorsements or even touchdowns, it’s all about the really tough stuff, parenthood, having patience, teamwork, selflessness and trying to win the heart of the one little fan who turns out to count the most, his daughter.

A great light hearted family film that sees The Rock in a totally different light, his acting in this film is great and believable, little Maddison Pettis is a cute little actress and is talented for such a young age, it’s a film that will leave you feeling all warm and fuzzy inside, definitely worth watching.

Driven by destiny, the  band of warriors must battle prehistoric predators and overcome obstacles while pursuing their loved ones captors, at their journey’s end, they uncover a New world. Their  fate lies in an empire beyond imagination, where great pyramids reach into the skies. Here they take their stand against a powerful god who has brutally enslaved their people.

An incredible film with some amazing graphics, very well written, with a great cast,  what else could you expect from the director of Independence Day and The Day After Tomorrow, well worth watching, so get a good supply of pop  and munchies, you won’t want to leave your seat for anything.

The Spiderwick Chronicles is a great fantasy adventure movie, with magical creatures such as Griffins, Goblins, Sprites and Elves.

A mother and her 3 children move into an old house that a Great aunt left them which holds some hidden secrets. Jared who is seen as a troubled child finds a hidden room and discovers Spiderwicks Chronicles, not taking heed of the warning, he opens it releasing Goblins, not knowing there is a protective circle around the house, Jared takes the book outside where the goblins see it and try to retrieve it. As he reads more of the chronicles he begins to understand it’s power and what it will mean if the big boss gets hold of it, therefore has to find a way of either destroying the book or the Almighty.

A great family film, children and adults alike will enjoy the magical spirit of the film, with some funny moments from Hogsqueal. Definitely worth watching

FBI agent Jennifer Marsh, is caught up in the task of catching a deranged serial killer who’s father committed suicide, then the images of his death broadcast on TV and the Internet. He begins hunting down those who were somehow were involved and conducts violent and painful murders live on the net. He knows that people  will log onto the website through curiosity and fixes it so the more people who log on and enter the website, the quicker and more violently the victim dies.

A great thriller that keeps you on the edge of your seat. Curiosity may get the better of some of you and you may search for the website,  it does exist, but not as you think. Worth watching.

This Dolittle film is based on Dr Dolittle’s daughter Maya ,who is trying to enroll in a San Fransisco University to become a vet, on her first interview she fails the interview and the task she is given so goes home with her tail between her legs (no pun intended)but the University has given her one more chance and is invited back in four weeks .

The president sends his men to Dr Dolittle’s home to ask for his assistance,but finds he is away in the Antarctic sorting some whales out, that’s when the daughter steps forward and says she can help,in order for her to get a recommendation from the president himself to get into Uni.She takes on more than she can chew when she is introduced to Daisy the president mischievous and wayward pooch, Her task is to sort the mutt out in order for the president and prince of Kulalumpar to sign an agreement to save the rain forests.

Your typical silly film with misbehaving animals, and slapstick, is OK if your an animal lover and theres nothing else to watch. I wouldn’t go to the movies for it.

A young man is able to teleport himself anywhere he desires, from inside bank vaults in new york to Eygpt, all in the same day. At first he uses it to his advantage until he finds out that this gift is genetic and has existed for centuries, he finds himself in the middle of a war that has been ongoing for thousands of years between "Jumpers" and those who  have vowed to kill them.

Not a bad movie, it kept me interested and the storyline was pretty good. Some great special effects. Worth watching.

A film about a bride that unfortunately dies before she gets to make her vows and is left in limbo while the groom grieves.After a year passes the grooms sister introduces him to a psychic and asks her to lie to help him get on with his life, but she slowly falls in love with him and visa versa, but the dead bride to be shows herself to the medium and is adamant not to let her win his heart, and causes chaos for her.

This film is easy going with some funny moments, it’s more of a chick flick, but if you have a man that is in touch with his feminine side then is a cool film to sit and watch together. Get out the popcorn.
