Thats my Point of View
I’m seriously thinking about becoming a vegetarian, I think what has made my mind up is watching a programme the other night where Chinese slaughtered a pig because there was a death in the village (Bodyshock, I Am The Elephant Man), I can still hear the squeals now.

I don’t really eat a lot of meat anyway, if I do it’s mainly chicken, even so another programme I watched a few weeks back made me think twice about what I was sticking in my mouth. I can’t see myself eating that dodgy stuff known as Tofu so will stick to things such as pasta, fish and vegetables, no doubt if I search the net I will come up with some interesting tasty recipes that doesn’t involve eating meat.

This is going to be a bit tough for me when it comes to cooking as my fella is very much a meat eater and loves his bacon and black pudding or steak and chips, I just know the smell is going to be torture, but at least I won’t feel guilty by participating, I’d rather hear chickens clucking, cows mooing, pigs oinking and cute little lambs bouncing around than sitting roasted, boiled or fried on my dinner plate.

A great animation about an elephant who discovers there is another world on a speck of dust that is balancing on a clover. He decides that he has to save their world by taking them somewhere safe, but it doesn’t come easy as no-one believes him, Kangaroo thinks he is nuts and takes it upon herself to rid of the clover, enlisting Vulture and Apes to destroy the speck. Will Horton manage to save the world or will Roo succeed. You will have to watch it to find out.

A nice little kiddies film which the parents will enjoy just as much, worth watching.

Like plenty of other bloggers finding out Entrecard was planning on a new system was a bit of a surprise but also quite exciting as it meant that things could change in a big way, especially for those who were getting left behind in the pricing stakes, I am slowly getting used to it now it’s been running a few days, but it’s not without it’s flaws.
I got my better half to sit and drop cards for me while I was writing for my blog (bless him, he really knows how to show me he loves me) and we all know how tiring it can be and time consuming, especially when your stopping to read most of the blogs your dropping on. Getting to the point, when he refreshed the page on the dashboard, even though he dropped well over 150 it showed that he hadn’t dropped any, after seeing how annoying it was for him I decided to drop a few cards for this blog, exactly the same happened to me, luckily I only dropped about 20 or so.
Entrecard seemed like a good idea at the time, don’t get me wrong if it hadn’t been for Entrecard I doubt I would have any visitors let alone readers, but it is starting to get a bit screwy with all these new things that are happening lately. Come on Entrecard sort yourselves out.
Everyone accepts teething problems but hell, at this rate you’ll be wearing dentures in no time.

Since my last post about young Shannon Matthews stepfather Craig Meehan being arrested for child porn, there have been further arrests one including her own mother.
Earlier in the week the mother of Meehan and three sisters, one whom was a neighbour of Matthews were arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender and suspicion of attempting to pervert the course of justice respectively in the disappearance of Shannon, while on Thursday her mother Karen Matthews, 32, was charged with perverting the course of justice and child neglect. Prosecutors allege that the mother, who led a high-profile campaign to find her missing daughter, concealed information from police about where the girl was.
Police investigating the alleged kidnap of nine-year-old Shannon Matthews have urged the local community not to take vigilante action against anyone they believe was involved. on Wednesday the courtroom was packed with media, residents in Matthew’s area and Matthews’ friends, as well as court officials and lawyers where there were shouts of "yes" when district judge Jonathan Bennett refused bail and remanded Matthews in custody.
The more you here of this story the less surprising it is, the family of young Shannon all look as if they could do with a few bob and perhaps planned to use funds that they gained from the campaign to live a better quality of life. The McCanns have received thousands of pounds to help them with their campaign and are using them to help try and find their daughter. in their case little Maddy is genuinely missing and her where abouts unknown.

Two days ago I got a shock when I opened my curtains to find a carpet of snow outside…in April.
This time last year I was walking about in just t-shirt and jeans and making sandcastles with the kids on the beach, this year it’s thermals and hibernation. The poor old spring flowers have now frostbitten buds and will never see their full glory.

The follow up movie to the 2006 film Step Up. Step up 2 the streets is focused on a young girl Andie who is involved with a crew who street dances their way through tube trains and cause disruptions, her guardian, the best friend of her deceased mother threatens to send her to Texas to her Aunt, away from trouble when a friend suggests she joins the Arts Academy. Having passing her audition to get in, she meets a young dancer Chase who is everyones ideal, together they form their own crew when Andie’s crew disses her, Her crew being made up of the Academies misfits, she takes them to a dance competition called The Streets.

A cool movie with some great dancing, not my type of music but appreciate the talent of the dancers interpretations. Worth watching

I was sad to hear that Charlton Heston died Saturday at the ripe old age of 84. A great actor who made his name in good old fashioned made movies like Ben Hur, The Ten Commandments and not forgetting The Planet Of The Apes.

I remember watching these films with my parents in my youth and thinking how striking he looked with his blonde hair blue eyes and chiseled jawline, my favorite of all the films was Ten commandments, even though I’m not a religious freak I enjoyed the storyline and he made it interesting to watch, he did many of his stunts himself especially in Ben Hur.

Charlton was married for an astounding 64 years which is fantastic for a Hollywood marriage, not many get past ten years these days, his wife was at his side when he died. Charlton was reported to have said back in 2002 that he was getting symptoms of Alzheimer’s Disease it is unknown as of yet whether it is the disease that finally took his life.
Sleep in peace Charlton.
