This Dolittle film is based on Dr Dolittle’s daughter Maya ,who is trying to enroll in a San Fransisco University to become a vet, on her first interview she fails the interview and the task she is given so goes home with her tail between her legs (no pun intended)but the University has given her one more chance and is invited back in four weeks .
The president sends his men to Dr Dolittle’s home to ask for his assistance, but finds he is away in the Antarctic sorting some whales out, that’s when the daughter steps forward and says she can help,in order for her to get a recommendation from the president himself to get into Uni.She takes on more than she can chew when she is introduced to Daisy the president mischievous and wayward pooch, Her task is to sort the mutt out in order for the president and prince of Kulalumpar to sign an agreement to save the rain forests.
Your typical silly film with misbehaving animals, and slapstick, is OK if your an animal lover and theres nothing else to watch. I wouldn’t go to the movies for it.

Another dog attack has happened yet again this time a 9yr old boy from south shields in the North East of England. The boy suffered facial injuries when he was attacked by a Staffordshire bull terrier-type dog. An 18-year-old man, was arrested on suspicion of being in charge of a dog dangerously out of control. Not so long ago Six-year-old Alicia Duff was savaged by a Rottweiler. Alicia had been told that the dog was safe to stroke before it lashed out. The incident happened when she went to a nearby house to call for another youngster of the same age.
With so many dog attacks happening it makes you wonder whether it is irresponsible owners at fault or the breed of the dog, maybe even both. Rotties, Bull Mastiffs, Akitas, Pitbulls, German Shepherds and Staffies are all known to be dangerous, and no matter how loving owners may be, how devoted or even how well trained they are, a dog can still turn. Is it just an aggressive breed of dog they are owning or lack of knowledge, discipline and control. Even if you have a cute little poodle it may turn out to be a devil in disguise. I am personally an animal lover, but there are breeds such as these that I am always cautious of.
I once owned a dog called Fluke who was a German Shepard cross he was well trained and totally devoted to me, but that was his downfall. Even though he knew I was his master if anyone came near me he didn’t like it one bit. Eventually I had to give him to a security firm. I had been sitting in an armchair and fluke was behind me, my nephew then 5 came toward me when Fluke lunged forward and bit him on the lip, luckily it was only a small nick it could have been much worse, but it was that action that made me give him away, it broke my heart to part with him because with me he was soppy as anything, but I just could not take the chance it was going to happen again. Was I at fault for his behavior?I don’t know, I had control of him, he obeyed me. Was he jealous? probably or was it just his breed. With so many new breeds these days it’s difficult to determine which ones belong on the dangerous dogs list. In reality they all could be classed as dangerous dogs, they could all change personality in the split of a second, it takes just one bite.

Martin Lewis did another money saving article this morning on GMTV involving Council tax. Home owners could be over paying on Council Taxes by thousands, Houses were valued in 1991 by people who did not even enter houses to give the right bandings, so your neighbors could be paying less Tax than yourselves for the same properties.
According to Martin there is £400.000 worth of monies that have been paid in incorrectly, if you think you are paying too much Council Tax then visit this site to check http://www.moneysavingexpert.com/reclaim/council-tax-bands-change#neighbours it gives you advice on how you can reclaim any Taxes that you may have over payed. Unfortunately for me my banding is correct, but yours may not be, What are you waiting for.

Another young girl that has gone missing is Shannon Matthews.

Shannon Matthews is a 9 year old girl who failed to return to her home in Moorside Road, Dewsbury Moor, West Yorkshire, 2 weeks ago after going for a swimming lesson. Houses close to her home have been searched and several drivers have been stopped in the area to ask if they have seen anything. She was last seen dressed in a black jumper with a school logo, a white cotton T-shirt, black trousers and a waist-length black coat with fur round the hood. She was also wearing distinctive pink and grey "Bratz" furry boots.
Police are also investigating an attempted abduction of another child on the same day Shannon Matthews went missing. The attempted kidnap happened in Wakefield on Tuesday morning - Shannon went missing in the afternoon a few miles away in Dewsbury. The 12-year-old girl was approached by a man in a gold coloured saloon car who asked her to get into the vehicle. Police are thinking it’s a possible connection. If you have seen young Shannon or know of her whereabouts then please contact

A young man is able to teleport himself anywhere he desires, from inside bank vaults in new york to Eygpt, all in the same day. At first he uses it to his advantage until he finds out that this gift is genetic and has existed for centuries, he finds himself in the middle of a war that has been ongoing for thousands of years between "Jumpers" and those who have vowed to kill them.
Not a bad movie, it kept me interested and the storyline was pretty good. Some great special effects. Worth watching.

I was watching Shameless the other night and in that particular episode there was a woman who had Alzheimer’s Disease, who eventually asked her daughter to give her her pills so she can take her own life… Euthanasia.
Euthanasia is a sore subject and as of yet illegal, but surely if it is the individuals decision then there shouldn’t be a problem with it, freedom of choice and all that, fair play it’s a pressure to put someone you love in that position, but in the long run it wouldn’t be half as stressful as watching the person you love trapped inside a body that you once remembered, lets say as a party animal or a determined career person.
It is a subject that I have discussed with my fiancé and mother about on numerous occasions, god forbid it doesn’t happen to me, but if I was left in a dependant or vegetative state then my wish is for me to take my own life with their assistance if need be.
I would not want to rely on them wiping my ass or having to feed me, it would hurt them I know, but I wouldn’t want to burden them, I would rather them have a happy life knowing that wherever I may end up I will be in a better place.
When my uncle was younger he was quite an aggressive feisty man who threw his weight around, when he hit his 40s he was diagnosed with Parkinson’s Disease, for 10 years he coped well with it but then he started deteriorating, he couldn’t walk on occasions, nor talk, he was pretty much bed ridden, he had been so frustrated with being in that situation that he often asked my aunt to help him die which she totally refused to do, so he used to take out his drips or refuse to eat, hoping it would bring his death nearer but it didn’t. He suffered several months like this, in addition he was depressed and sometimes angry because no one would help him die, in the end he did pass away but it was through pneumonia. To see a man that had once been strong and volatile ebb down to a frail, man was stressful in itself, if it had been me, I would have also asked for help to end the pain.
As I am writing this, my fiancé is reading it over my shoulder and telling me it’s one sided, and saying that he loves me therefore he would take care of me ..whatever, he has refused to help me if that situation ever arises. So for now I will end the subject, but he knows my wishes.

In the British news this week, it has been said that Forensic teams have been searching secret chambers below a former Jersey care home where over 140 victims have claimed they were abused since the 1960s. Three secret underground chambers have been found at Haut de la Garenne in Jersey, which were bricked up.
Police have started to clear one chamber, where they have found two items which they said confirm victims’ claims of being abused, and it is reported among the items are a bath which was bolted to the floor, shackles and other restraining equipment.Victims have claimed the rooms were used for abuse and have described being raped, drugged and flogged. The Police got more than 80 calls over past few days relating to alleged abuse at the old childrens home.
The search began after police found a child’s skull at Haut de la Garenne and are now excavating seven sites which were identified by a sniffer dog specially trained to find human remains. 40 suspects are to be questioned with one arrest already being made.
Screams were supposedly have been heard with children going missing the next day, the remaining children were told they had either run away or found new homes.
This is a despicable act of crime, with some sick people torturing and abusing defenseless children, how nothing was done about it before now is beyond me, surely there was tell tale signs that something so sordid was going on, or even reports from victims. The crimes were believed to have happened between 1960 -2007, most if not all of those children that have survived the home are now damaged for life, and no doubt suffering either depression or other mental problems.
I hope they name and shame the sick b*":*ds that have inflicted this pain on those poor souls.
It seems you can’t trust anyone these days, children are left in the hands of people with authority and it turns out to be those are the ones you have to avoid, what with priests and vicars well known for abusing children to, care home workers and foster parents. Don’t get me wrong I’m not tarring them all with the same brush as there are people of these professions that do genuinely care about the welfare of children, but it does make you doubt .
